Cascade Blues Association 2022 Holiday Party postponed

Will shift to a ‘future 2023 member event’ instead

The Cascade Blues Association canceled our originally-planned December 4th Holiday Party due to inclement weather – from what we heard from members, that was a wise decision, even though the promised snowfall didn’t materialize for many of you.

We were able to shift some of our planned Holiday Party resources successfully – including our silent auction & raffle items – to co-host a IBC fundraiser at Catfish Lou’s on December 11th to support our Journey to Memphis winners the TJ Wong Trio. Thanks to everyone who came out on short notice to support that successful event!

After careful consideration, the CBA Board decided that we won’t try to rush to pull off a delayed January Holiday Party event after all. Instead, we’ll plan a larger event in the first part of 2023 & make sure our members have ample notice, too!

Our next membership meeting will be January 11, 2023 at 6 pm at Catfish Lou’s – why not join us then if you’re in the area!

The Cascade Blues Association monthly member meeting has a new home! Join us on Wednesday, November 2nd at 6 pm in the back room at Catfish Lou’s, 6540 SW Fallbrook Pl, Beaverton, OR 97008. Our association has a long history with this venue and many of our members will recall good times at their previous location in Portland’s industrial district. The meeting this month will feature two bands – Blues Music Award winner Lisa Mann Trio and our 2023 International Blues Challenge representatives the TJ Wong Trio.

Immediately following the meeting, take a few steps down the hall to the front bar and join in Marty Henninger’s weekly Marty & The Murder Hornets jam. Our members asked for a location more central to Portland and the board listened, so please show your support to our hosts and artists by stopping in. As always, entry is free for members and $5 for non-members.
