The 23rd Annual Gorge Blues and Brews Festival Returns to the Columbia River Gorge
Now celebrating its twenty-third year, the Gorge Blues & Brews Festival returns to the Skamania County Fairgrounds in Stevenson, Washington for the biggest blues event in the Columbia River Gorge. The festival is only a short drive from Portland and will host multiple Northwest bands along with beer from sixteen craft breweries, regional wine, and a variety of local, fabulous food. Kick-off is Friday evening, June 23, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm, and this first night offers free admission.
The main event begins on Saturday, June 24, at noon and runs until 10:00 pm. Performances scheduled for this full day in order of appearance are: The Big River Blues Band, Kenny Lee & The Sundowners, Idle Poets, Ellen Whyte Trio, Mike Klinger Blues Band with Little Mike, Billy D & The Hoodoos, Robin Barrett & The Coyote Kings featuring Tiphony Dames, Sister Mercy, Thunder Brothers, Franco Paletta, and the Rae Gordon Band.
Tickets for Saturday’s performances are $20.00 this and you may purchase them in advance through TicketTomato.com. Your admission also includes one token for a full glass of beer or wine and a commemorative glass. Beer and wine tokens are $1.00 each, sold on the event grounds only. Saturday’s show is 21 and over only.
The Skamania County Fairgrounds is located at 710 Rock Creek Drive, in Stevenson, WA. Reservations for onsite camping sites are available for $75.00 a night, and are limited to three nights. Other offsite camping and lodging is also available. Proceeds from past Gorge Blues & Brews Festivals benefited Washington Gorge Action Programs, which assists with a variety of deserving, local programs. Future recipients may include the food bank, domestic violence prevention, homeless housing, and others.
