Double Headed Extravaganza – Marc Broussard & Samantha Fish
Marc Broussard is an artist with the unique gift of channeling the spirits of classic R&B, rock, and soul into contemporary terms. In 2004, he released his major-label debut, Carencro, after the Louisiana town where he was born and raised, and its thematic centerpiece was a hickory-smoked slab of Bayou soul called “Home.” That album and subsequent releases reveal Broussard as an old-school Southern soul singer blessed with a rarefied talent and innate stylistic and emotional authenticity.
After launching her recording career in 2009, Samantha Fish quickly established herself as a rising star in the contemporary blues world. Since then, the charismatic young singer-guitarist-songwriter has earned a reputation as a guitar hero and powerful live performer, while releasing a series of acclaimed albums that have shown her restless creative spirit consistently taking her in new and exciting musical directions.
Together, Broussard and Fish will be one of the most powerful concerts touring this year and we’re lucky to have them heading to Portland for one night only. Separate they’re worth this price of this ticket each, but having both is a welcome treat to music fans of blues, soul, and R&B.
